Wild Rose Patio Activation Branding

Calgary Telus Convention Centre

Like so many Calgary organizations, the CTCC participates in Stampede-related events and activities each year—from First Flip to hosting other events and groups.

The Calgary TELUS Convention Centre (CTCC) needed a distinct brand for its Wild Rose Rooftop Patio—a standalone identity, separate from the CTCC brand. Overlooking Stephen Avenue and hosting up to 300 guests, the venue required a brand capable of capturing the spirit of the Calgary Stampede while remaining elegant, contemporary, and standing out from the dozens of western-themed spaces that take over Calgary each July.

Our teams developed a creative brief which called for concepts based on two thematic ideas: Rustic Luxury and Urban Frontier. Rustic Luxury combined traditional western design and typography inspiration with high-end materials and textures. Urban Frontier was a slightly more modern take on the idea of western and cowboy art styles, and focused on integrating both sleek and rustic elements.

The resulting brand identity blends rustic western charm with modern urban energy. The brand was brought to life through a timeless, western logo, refined typography, an earthy colour palette, and supporting iconography applied across print, signage, merch, and digital advertising. Together, these elements immerse attendees in the spirit of every Calgarian’s favourite 10 days of the summer.
