Case Study
Website Copywriting
University of Alberta Faculty of Law
Following the appointment of a new Dean and an updated strategic plan, the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Law wanted the language on its website to reflect the new Dean’s vision. They also wanted to ensure that the website’s audiences had a clear understanding of the Faculty’s strategic plan and what it meant to students, faculty, and staff.
Adverb was hired to review the strategic plan and develop an approach to seeding its content into the Faculty of Law’s website. After a series of discovery interviews, document reviews, and distillation of data provided to us, we developed a simple solution: develop nine net-new pages on the site that would describe the plan.
Over the period of eight weeks, we drafted, revised, and finalized these nine pages. Our client was thrilled with the result. They noted that, having completed several projects like this for other schools in the past, the process with Adverb was by far the smoothest they’d ever experienced.
This project was recognized with an Award of Excellence for Writing at the 2026 IABC Edmonton Capital Awards.
